United States Passport Instruction: Passport Renewal

You still have and can submit your most recent passport.
You were over the age of 16 when the passport was issued.
You received your most recent passport within 15 years (has not been expired more than 5 years)
The current passport is undamaged

STEPS TO SUBMITTING A U.S. PASSPORT APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL:

STEP 1: Complete and Submit Form DS-82: Application For A U.S. Passport

(Complete the Online Passport Form DS-82, then click CREATE FORM button)

If for any reason you cannot complete the online application, print the DS-82 Passport Application
and fill out by hand.
Also, please do not sign this application until you are instructed to during Authorization process (step #9).
After completeting application, continue with the steps below.

STEP 2: Submit Current Passport

You must submit your current passport.
If your passport is damaged, lost/stolen, expired more than 5 years, or was acquired before the age of 16,
you must apply for a new passport.

STEP 3: Provide Two Passport Photos

Your Photographs Must Be:

Identical
In color
2 x 2 inches in size
Taken within the past 6 months, showing current appearance
Full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background
Between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head
Taken in normal street attire:
- Uniforms should not be worn in photographs except religious attire that is worn daily
- Do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline
- If you normally wear prescription glasses, a hearing device, wig or similar articles, they should be worn for your picture
- Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons (a medical certificate may be required)

STEP 5: Complete and Submit Two Letters of Passport Authorization

Print and complete two copies of the Passport Authorization Letter

STEP 6: Complete and Submit an Passport Order Form

Print and complete the Passport Order Form

STEP 7: Submit Proof of Travel

Copy of Itinerary or Ticket
Comapny Letter Stating your job related need for travel

Note: If you cannot provide proof of travel, ypur passport will be processed in 5-10 business days.

STEP 8: Passport Fees

Government Fees:

US Department of State fee for passport renewal is $170.00.

Expediting Fees are payable by credit card, check, or money order:

Same day - 199.00 + return shipping
24-48 hours - $149.00 + return shipping.
5-10 day - 99.00 + return shipping

All fees can be paid together in one charge on the order form or in one check or money order.

Note: Discounts available if sending multiple (3 or more) passport applications. Please call or email for discount rate.
