Submitting and Expediting
United States Passport Renewal Applications

You still have and can submit your most recent passport.
You were over the age of 16 when the passport was issued.
You received your most recent passport within 15 years (has not been expired more than 5 years)
The current passport is undamaged

STEP 1: Complete and Submit Form DS-82: Application For A U.S. Passport

(Complete the Online Passport Form DS-82, then click CREATE FORM button)

After completeting application, continue with the steps below.

STEP 2: Submit Current American Passport

You must submit your current United States passport.

Note: If your US passport has been expired more than 5 years, was acquired before the age of 16,
or has been damaged, then you must apply for a new passport.

STEP 3: Provide Two Passport Photos

Your Photographs Must Be:

Identical.
In color.
2 x 2 inches in size.
Taken within the past 6 months, showing current appearance.
Full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background.
Between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
Taken in normal street attire:
- Uniforms should not be worn in photographs except religious attire that is worn daily.
- Do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline.
- If you normally wear prescription glasses, a hearing device, wig or similar articles, they should be worn for your picture.
- Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons (a medical certificate may be required).

STEP 4: Complete and Submit Two Letters of Passport Agency Authorization

Print and complete two copies of the Passport Agency Authorization Letter.

STEP 5: Complete and Submit an Passport Renewal Order Form

Print and complete the Passport Renewal Order Form.

STEP 6: Submit Proof of Travel

Copy of Itinerary or Ticket; or
Comapny Letter Stating your job related need for travel.

Note: If you cannot provide proof of travel, ypur passport will be processed in 5-10 business days.

STEP 7: Passport Processing Fees

Government Fees:

US Department of State fee for passport renewal is $170.00 (payable by credit card, check, or money order).

Passport Expediting Fees (payable by credit card, check, or money order):

Same day - $199.00 + return shipping; or
24-48 hours - $149.00 + return shipping; or
5-10 Business days - $99.00 + return shipping.

Return Shipping Options:

Fed Ex / UPS overnight - 35.00; or
Fed Ex / UPS 2nd day - 25.00; or
Same day shipping via domestic airline - 125.00; or
Include a prepaid return envelope or provide us with a Fed Ex or UPS account number.

Note: Free pick up and drop off available within Houston metropolitan area.

STEP 8: Shipping Your Passport Documents
